Poem #40
Stories I'm From
I am from Wise Old Woman, a woman who is very clever and intellectual, but gets underestimated.
I am from The Sniper, a sad, and surprising story that encouraged me to learn about the devastating effects of war.
I am from The Outsiders, the character Johnny whose murder made him and Ponyboy run out of town.
I am from life collecting things from outer space from the Collecting Team like Gary and his friend.
I am from a nail biting book and one willing to risk their lives for freedom from Red Scarf Girl.
I am from The Chrysalids with being open-minded and learning when life seems like it's turning.
I am from Tomi, Billy, Keath, and The US Army. To not judge a book by its cover, from hiding from the US Army to overcome racism, inequality, and slander. The pages of Under The Blood-Red Sun keep me up at night.
Under each book in my To Be Read pile was another book calling my name. A melodic song of joy and sorrow is pulling me to read more

Opposite Poem
I love the sweet tastes of bubble tea
I dislike the thought of swimming spiders swimming to me
I have friends and family that care about me
I want a whole pile of slushies
My friends say I’m insane
My family says I can entertain
One day I will fly to space
I will never like spiders in a case
My favorite foods are Pinnapples, Chocolate, Blueberries
I will never eat gooseberries
I feel sad when I fail
I feel happy when I check my gmail
I feel safe when I am at home
I feel scared when I’m alone
Poem #38
Animals I Love
An Ant ate an apple
Bats squeak at night
Cats purring like a rumbling tummy
Dogs screeching at the moon
Elephants spraying water and making it rain cats and dogs
Foxs quietly hunt their prey
Goats eating everything in sight
Horses running into the sunset
Ibis’ walking in the shallow water
Jumbo shrimps are more giant but still challenging to see
Kangaroos jumping in Australia with their Joeys (baby kangaroos)
Lions roaring and claiming their name as the king of the jungle
Monkeys throwing bananas at animals and then running away
Newts wiggling up a tree
Octopuses camouflage to hide from their prey
Parrots repeating whatever we say
Quils showing off the feather on their head
Rabbits jump to escape the predators'
Snakes slithering in the tall grass ready to strike
Tigers roaring at its prey
Urials majestically looking into the sky
Vultures swooping in to eat the remains of their hunted prey
Whales calling out to other animals in the sea
Xemas flying of the water like seagulls
Yaks keeping warm in the winter with Their furry coat
Zebras galloping the intense heat
Poem #37
Alphabet Poem
Afternoon’s sun
Beats down on the
Chrysanthemum and
Daffodils.
Eventually, the sun
Falls beneath the,
Ground and
High
In the sky the stars shine like
Jewels. the
Keen owl hunts for its prey
Late into the
Morning.
Now the flowers
Open and the
Porcupine
Quiet down to
Rest. the
Sun rises above
The trees. everything
Under the sun, like the
Vines,
Wrens, and
Xantus hummingbirds
Yawn in the shady
Zones

I Dislike When I can't Sleep at Night, ZZZZ
I Have lots of time to learn skills
I want more time for sleeping, ZZZZZ
